Pumpkin Pie Disaster

I was trying to make a new Youtube video for pumpkin pie, but it totally didn't work. So first you have to cut the pumpkin in half and cook in oven for about an hour. So I tried cutting the pumpkin, but it wouldn't cut. I even wacked the knife against the pumpkin several times, but it never cut. So I tried heating it up in the oven for about 20 minutes, and that worked. So I continued my video. I scraped all the pumpkin seeds and stuff out, then placed into the oven, and cooked it. After I took it out, it kind of looked different from the first time I cooked a pumpkin, and then I started scraping the insides and the texture was totally different. But I still continued with the crap of a pumpkin I had and placed it into my blender. After I blended it for about 30 seconds or so, the texture of the pumpkin didn't really change. So. I put the somewhat pureed pumpkin into a pot and heated it up for about 8 minutes. Then I blended it again, and it became pureed. Yay. I decided to taste it, and that's were the big issue came. It tasted horrendous. I tried adding some brown sugar, which helped, but I'm probably just gonna use some canned pumpkin by Libby's. I don't know why I didn't just start from the canned in the first place if I had known it was going to be so difficult. I spent like 2 hours trying to fix some pumpkin which turned out horrible, when I could have used canned pumpkin. Ugh...I was just trying to be healthy and baking a pumpkin pie totally from scratch. But scratch that idea, I'm just totally using the canned pumpkin. Tomorrow I'm going to finish baking the pumpkin pie with the canned pumpkin. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong tomorrow. Shoot...where's my pie pan?...

Funniest Thing Ever

It's so funny when my mom sleeps. She always watches television in bed and she eventually falls asleep. So whenever I turn off the tv, she immediately wakes up and says she was watching it. But if you turn the volume to low or even completely to mute, she doesn't even twitch; she stays sound a sleep. This amazes me. And sometimes she'll talk in her sleep which is even funnier. She says the craziest things, it's really hilarious.

Why must life be so cruel?...

Why must life be so cruel? Does anyone know the answer to this question? I do know things, and many things for that fact. But this is one of the many questions I don't know. Life is cruel because that's the nature of human beings. I just can't stand that. I've got tons of work constantly piling up, it never seems to end. And just when you think you've finished it, another pile is right sitting right there. ugh....it's even more problematic when the pile collapses. Your literally drowning in it cause there's so much....ugh...

Customer Support is Wonderful, Especially at Ebay

All is good. I contacted ebay's customer support and they looked over my case. They have removed the unpaid item strike against me, so I now am a fan of ebay again. I'm happy and I can sleep more peacefully now.

Nevermind...

Nevermind, my weekend was horrible. Shortly after I posted yesterday's post, I decided to visit my ebay account, and to my surprise I had a unpaid item strike against me which expired at 11:59pm that day. Luckily I saw it and was able to respond in time, but today when I went to check the situation of the issue, I was oppressed with an unpaid item strike. Of course I have contacted ebay customer support about this problem since I paid for that item the day I won it which was on September 11, 2010. And the buyer even sent a message and email saying that he recieved my payment and was shipping my item. Damn. People are just so cruel sometimes.

Time Flies

You know, time flies by way too quickly; even if your not having that much fun. I had a four day weekend this week, but tomorrow is already Tuesday. Seriously, where did my weekend go to?

Friday wasn't all that great. I had a needle shoved in my mouth, and the right side my face (including my eyelid) went completely numb thanks to it. But I did see Easy A which was amazingly good; I can't wait till it comes out on dvd and blue ray, I'm totally buying it.

On Saturday I went grocery shopping with my mother. Then I went hiking in the woods with my cousin. I got bite by like 50 million bugs despite the fact that I showered myself in bugspray.

Sunday was slightly relaxing. I sat around the house doing nothing and awaited for my mother's return from the grocery store. She was gone for about 4 hours, no joke, just to get a few items we forgot to buy on Saturday. That actually makes no sense, and then when she returned home, she went back to the store because the peppers were bad on the inside. We were planning on baking that day, but since she was at the grocery store for practically the entire we had to postpone our baking till today.

Today was wonderful. My mother baked apple pie, and I helped with the crust, and I baked banana crumb muffins. The only awful thing about today was having to visit a family friend who I haven't seen in forever. But I barely know the guy, but since my mom is such great friends with his mom, I had to come. We gave them half of the muffins I baked, and discussed college and SAT stuff. My wonderful morning was slightly ruined, especially since we stayed for more than 20 minutes as we had planned, and didn't leave till about an hour and a half later. I've still got homework and studying to finish and it's already 9pm.

Where did my four-day weekend go to? But now that I look back at it, it wasn't so bad, there just wasn't as much relaxing as I had wanted.

Playing Ping Pong

You know. Grinding is a lot like playing ping pong or tennis. Like, some people are good at it and others aren't. But even if you are a good player, just playing for fun and having a long rally isn't easy. The same is for grinding. You have to make sure your on beat with the music and your dance partner to make it more fun and enjoyable. lol.

Piled

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. Life at school just has been so hectic. Tons of homework, quizzes, pop quizzes, tests, quests, paragraphs. You name it, they've all been thrown at us. And now I have a project. Ugh...and then soon I'll have my 12 page term paper to write...School life is great...Just great...

First Day of School...

School started the day after Labor Day! Yay! But I'm already tired...the bus company decided to come pick us up earlier, so instead of arriving at the bus stop at 6:35 am, it's gonna be 6:25 am. For me, this means I have to wake up at 5:30 am, and leave the house by 6:10 am. This totally sucks.

On the other hand, seeing my friends was wonderful. We talked endlessly about our summers and stuff. It was great. And one of my bffs from third grade is finally in a class with me. We haven't been in any academic class since third grade because we were such trouble makers. Finally we're back together again. Yay!~

Lunch is a total drag because there are 94 new freshmen. A breaking record; the most our school has ever had. So once 12:45 pm comes, there's a mad rush to the cafeteria. Even with the two lunch lines, you have to wait for like 20 min, no joke. Luckily our lunch period is 40 minutes, and you could just come back during the second half of lunch when the lines are shorter to get lunch (but then there wouldn't be any desserts left...).

School is finished by 3:30 pm, and if you take sports, by 5:30 pm (not on game days). This fall I decided not to take soccer because I'd like to get home earlier. My coach from last year got mad at me, and told me he didn't like me (but he tells everyone this, even other teachers). But I'll be joining him in the spring for track and field.

My classes for this school year are the following:
- Latin III
- Geometry and Trigonometry
- English 10
- Introduction to Engineering
- American and European History (Core I)

I'm already tired from only 3 days of school and I've got 9 more months left. I wonder how I'll hold up...

Google kicks ass. No joke.

I just got a brand new laptop because everyone in my grade has to have the same exact computer or else it isn’t fair. So I was really pissed off about not having any of my bookmarks, but Google has a bookmark sync that automatically takes all your bookmarks from your Google account, and transfers it to your new computer! Yes! I don’t have to waste all my time typing in every single bookmark of mine, they’re all here! Thank you so much Google!

I WON A CONTEST!

I won a contest!! This is the first time I've ever won a contest in my entire life! Omfg! I can't believe it!!! You don't understand how happy this makes me!! I should totally try the lottery now!

Today I received a package in the mail and had no clue what I had ordered. But to my surprise, I had won a contest! My name was selected out of a hat full of hundreds of others. My luck has never been good, which is why I never gamble or anything cause I know I'll lose. For instance, once in fourth grade, during Design Technology, we made go-carts. There were four people in my group, including myself, and by the end of the semester it was time to take home the carts. Two of the girls in my group didn't want the g0-cart, so it was just me and this girl named Anabella. I had a fifty-fifty chance of winning, but in the end I lost. From then on I knew my luck was bad. But I guess people's luck do change, and mine has changed for the better! Yay! Maybe I'll start betting and see what happens. Maybe not.

Anyways, from the contest, I won the second season of the anime called Aria. It includes episodes 14-26, and the anime is supposedly "a whimsical ride," quoted by ActiveAnime.com. I can't wait to start watching this series! But I'll have to start at episode one, which isn't included. I guess I'll just watch it online. Thanks Otaku USA Magazine! You just made my day!

Random Number

Oh hey! I found a blog I wrote, but wasn't able to sent from before.

For a family reunion, we decided to fly down to Orlando and visit Disney World. But on my plane ride I couldn't have any peace and quite. The passanger in front of me kept turning around and staring at me. And half way through the plane ride he handed me a peace of paper. And written on that paper was none other than his phone number. Yes. His name and number. But seriously, I don't even know who the hell this guy was. Hey, if anybody wants a guy to talk to, call Quan. His number is: . I have no clue who this person is, so one of you can find out for fun. Enjoy! :P

Laziness

I am terribly sorry for the late blog. I've just felt like doing nothing over the past week except catch-up on my missed sleep, but I already know it's not possible to do so. Anyways, since I haven't been out too much, there isn't much to write about. But this Saturday I'll be going to that same Credit Union again, so maybe I'll see another wild boar family. Or I might see something interesting when I go shopping. So look forward to Saturday night, or Sunday for a new post! Thanks for subscribing!

Ducks at Dolphin

Here at Disney's Dolphin Hotel, it is amazing. The sights are wonderful, they've got a spa and countless pools, a manmade lake, a gym, tennis courts, resturaunts, you name it, and they've got it. They've even got ducks! They're so cute, and they come running toward whether or not you've got food. And they're so stupid that if you toss sand at them, they'll try eating it. They're actually hilarious. One of my cousins was eating a pickle, he then spit it out at one of them, they ran toward, attacked it and one another, then ran away--leaving the pickle. And one of the ducks kept coming back and pecking it but still ran away leaving it. It was seriously funny. But too bad I didn't film it, I so would have uploaded it. But if another incident occurs, I'll somehow manage to capture the moment.

Otakon 2010

Day zero: When we were arriving to the Baltimore Convention Center, my friend Gabby and I were extremely excited because it was our first time ever going to an anime convention. There were already people walking down the street in their costumes, even though Thursday wasn’t the actual convention, but the date to pick up pre-registered tickets. Since we arrived close to closing time, around 8:40pm, there wasn’t a line for pre-registered ticket pick-up. On the other hand, people were already lining up for Friday’s door tickets (which wouldn’t open till 9am). I’m so glad we pre-registered. (But our friend Isaac didn’t...)

Day one: On the actual day of the Otakon, we were even more excited before. We arrived around noon because I unfortunately had to finish taking a final exam for Chemistry class. But no matter, we still made it to the Convention, and were extremely happy people. About every eight out of ten person was cosplaying, and we had wished we were one of those eight. I at first had felt like dork to wear a costume, but since everyone else was wearing a costume, I felt like the dork not wearing one. For our first time being at an anime convention, we had no idea where to start, and the schedule that I did create was “thrown out the window” so we walked aimlessly around for hours. We got lost for three hours in the Dealers Room, but we eventually found the correct exit. While in the Dealers Room, I spotted the president of the Asian club (along with a member) who had both recently graduated from my school. I chit-chatted with them a bit, and we went our separate ways. Throughout the entire convention, Gabby and I searched high and low for a person cosplaying as Lelouch. We saw one guy dressed as Lelouch, but Gabby instantly said ‘ew’ and we didn’t find any other Lelouchs until about two hours later. In total we found seven Lelouchs, and only two of them were good looking; the others were....um....But out of the two good looking Lelouchs, only one of them played the role correctly. He was Asian, and tall, and hawt. We stalked him for all three days of the Otakon and I’m now his Facebook friend :) The only thing on my schedule that we actually did follow was attending the Ultimate Lolita Fashion Show from 8:30pm-10pm. The outfits were splendid, and all would have went well if the music had kept playing. The woman controlling the music kept fiddling with the Mac that she caused it to freeze, which I have never seen before in my whole life. Whenever this occurred, the announcer lady would say, “Oh Mac,” or if a model was walking on the runway, she’d say, “Work it girl.” This got really annoying. Day one of Otakon was finished, we were sad, but Day two was up next. However, the day wasn’t over for me. After arriving home at around midnight, I had to stay up until 2 am finishing my Magnet headphones for my costume that I planned to wear for Saturday. I’m such a procrastinator which is a habit I’ll have to work on.

Day two: The second day of Otakon arrived, and so did a bear. This was no ordinary bear, but a bear named Pedobear. He is the creepiest pedophile I have ever come across. Isaac saw this cute mascot bear first and immediately wanted a picture with him. I on the otherhand didn’t, so I just stood on the sidelines and watched Isaac pose with the bear. But once the picture was over, Pedobear shouted, “A picture with her! With her!” So I unfortunately had my picture taken with the bear, which I thought was nice. But when my picture with Pedobear was finished, he petted me on my shoulder, and when I walked away gave me that wave thing that’s supposed to be sexy; which wasn’t sexy, but scary. Later on that day we ran into Pedobear again, and he gave me that wave thing away, and even chased me around. But besides meeting Pedobear, we saw hawt Lelouch again, and he was wearing a different Lelouch cosplay which still looked amazingly good on him. Throughout the day he saw tons of men in heels and bunny costumes, which was very disturbing. And there was even one guy who stuffed his cellphone and other objects into a bra to fill it. When two o’clock came, I was so pumped for the Vocaloid meet-up, but it only got ruined due to the stupid fire alarm. Some idiot pulled it, and jumped out the emergency exit. All 22,000 people had to evacuate the Baltimore Convention Center, and stand outside in the heat, in their costumes for an entire hour. My friends and I were smart, and we entered the Hilton for air conditioning, and remained in the Otakon Library for that hour. I read Beauty Pop, volume 5; great series. During the full hour I worried about whether or not the Vocaloid meet-up would be cancelled or not, but when I went to the fourth floor (meet-up location), tons of Vocaloid cosplayers were there. I was so happy. The photoshoot went on for about half an hour or more, and I meet a girl who cosplayed as Miku Hatsune from the same video as me, Magnet. Oh, I cosplayed as Luka Megurine, and I was totally awesome. Later that day, someone wanted my picture, and said, “kawaii.” (Meaning “cute” in Japanese). I have never been called cute in my entire life, it overjoyed me so much. But when I was walking down the street on Sunday, dressed up as Luka Megurine as a school girl, someone told me I was “hawt.” But either way, I looked good, and that’s all that matters. Right?

Day three: So on the last day of Otakon, I again dressed up as Luka Megurine, but this time I was a school girl. On our way to the Baltimore Convention Center, I hastily made my Vocaloid headphones, which I didn't finish in the car. But, when we arrived, we quickly went to Ota-chan (workshop where you can make kawaii crafts) where I finished my crappy headphones within seven minutes. Throughout the day my headphones would untape itself from my headband and fall apart, but they managed to survive until the end of Otakon. Strangely people still wanted my picture, even though my headphones were crappy, but everyone said they were nicely made. Not much happened on the last day except for the humongous line to entire the Dealer's Room and people wanting my picture. Oh, also inside the Dealer's Room, we found a good looking Suzaku, and asked for a picture with him. He was really tall, and maybe taller than the hawt Lelouch. We'll never know cause we failed to assemble the two together, which we tried so hard to do. Anyways, Otakon ended like that, and all I have to remember it by is this blog, tons and tons of advertisement fliers, pictures, videos on Youtube, and my member which vanishes very quickly...

I'll post some pictures of Otakon later. So look forward to them!

Wild Boars

Over the weekend, my mother and I went to the Credit Union to deposit a check. But when we arrived, to our surprise we found out that the bank wasn't going to up until thirty minutes later. So we decided to go shopping at a nearby shopping mall. (I know. We were going to deposit and save some money.) Anyways, after an hour of shopping, we headed back to the bank. But on our way back, we saw two pigs crossing the street. Pigs! We live in the city, not the country. But yes. There was a mother pig and her piglet. They were adorable, even though they were all grungy looking and my mother was freaking out. I wish we could have taken pictures of them before they hurried into the bushes and trees. Oh well. Anyways, it really makes me wonder how they survive in such little forest. We human kind are vicious beings; we destroy the Earth, which in turn destroys other species. And we will eventually destroy ourselves. (Well, we practically are doing that right now with all of these wars.) Oh, and later on, my mother asked her brother if he knew where the pigs had come from. And he responded, "The piggy bank."

Anorexia

Last week I was riding the metro subway to school and all of a sudden this huge wave of people started coming in. Luckily I was sitting down so I wasn't washed away, but there was this one poor girl who had a really difficult time. She was shoved from all sides. But the really sad part was she was super skinny. I'm not talking slightly underweight, she was VERY underweight. Like I didn't even know this was possible, but I could see the bones in the back of her calves. I almost got sick. It was seriously scary.

But there's one thing I do know. I will NEVER, ever, become anorexic. Like I wouldn't be able to become one even if I wanted to. I love eating. Period. And I especially enjoy eating pastries (which I shouldn't because they make you fat). But lesson to all, do not become anorexic or bulimic, because when you don't eat, or when you throw-up your food, your not getting any nutrient. This in turn forces your body to search for its nutrients elsewhere, and that else where is from the body itself. Your body will start to devour itself, and once there is nothing left to take, you die do to heart failure (because your heart will start to struggle to keep itself beating due to the lack of nutrients.) So my main point is, eat so you don't look like a walking skeleton, and so that you will live.

Ever heard of?...

Have you ever heard of the c-string before? Supposedly it's a big thing now, and is giving the g-string competition. I'm not even sure where I heard of it, but the next thing I know is I was watching a youtube video about it. If you want to find out more, search it on the internet. You'll understand why I'm not going into detail about it.

But one thing that I will say about it; you'll never find me wearing one. lol.

Freaking Incidents

I don't know why all these horrible incidents keep on happening to me this summer. For instance, one day was hanging out with two of my friends, Gabby and Isaac, and we went to see some movie. When we walked out of the theater, I walked ahead of them since I'm a fast walker. But when I was walking back toward them, this strange, old man who had a very nice, professional camera all of a sudden started taking pictures of me my feet! And the grossest part about it was he was so into taking the pictures; he was focused and everything! It was so disgusting! And the sad part about this is, my girl friend saw this incident, while my guy friend didn't. This is one reason why should pay better attention to your surroundings!

Another incident that happened today occurred once I got off the metro subway. There was this man who was lying on the ground, and I believe he wasn't breathing...It must have been more than five minutes since they had first aid surrounding him, but if you don't breath for more than five minutes, then your brain dead. Equaling...dead. And while I was walking away from the station, about five minutes later did the ambulance car come. But the sad part about this incident was that everyone was walking past him as if nothing had happened; as if nothing was wrong. The only people who were distressed were his daughter and wife...

The Banana Diet

What I have noticed with my recent eating habits is that I've been losing weight. I usually have bananas on top of my cereal; a small lunch, if not any; and a light dinner, typically a salad, or mostly vegetables. I've been eating like this for the past two weeks, and have lost five pounds. But if you eat more than necessary, then your weight goes back up. The banana diet isn't really a diet, it's just another one of those popular eating styles that everyone has to try. But eating bananas does have it's benefits: high in potassium, carbohydrates, protein, etc. And supposedly it helps strengthen the hair, stimulate the digestive system, and boost the mind. I guess I would recommend the banana diet, but again, it's just some trendy "diet" that will quickly be replaced by other "diets".

Here is the Banana Diet's homepage! -> http://morningbanana.com/
And here is the website where I learned of the Banana Diet! -> http://www.nanoda.com/en/japanese-cooking/asa-banana--the-morning-banana-the-new-diet-from-japan.html
